This property exceeded our expectations, Quiet location in the middle of the farm with the opportunity of regular sightings of pheasant, alpacas and deer. Roomy in all aspects with good facilities and the added bonus of the award-winning farm shop close by. Well suited for 2 couples sharing. Without hesitation we would book again if visiting the area.
We visited with our 4 children for a few days. The barn conversion is set within beautiful farmland with plenty of room to explore and run around. The cottage was safe and secure to let the kids play outside, with 2 large bedrooms, both ensuite and an open plan kitchen/living area. The local farm shop was amazing. A perfect location to visit many attractions and walks nearby.
Couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Comfortable, quiet and with enough space to give each couple some room to relax.
A superbly presented barn conversion on one level. The entry is via a covered porch with space for wet footwear and hanging space for clothes. This leads to a hallway with double doors leading to an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. Leading off the living area are two large family bedrooms each with a double and single bed. Each has an en-suite shower room and WC.
You get a real sense of community at Wooladon Farm, yet with enough space to go off and do your own thing. The picturesque and awe inspiring Dartmoor National Park is just a short drive, offering some of the finest scenes and a vast selection of walks and bridleways suitable for all abilities. The farm is bordered by the river Tamar and the river Lyd offering excellent fishing for brown trout, sea trout and salmon. Sandwiched between the market towns of Tavistock and Launceston, both steeped in history and must sees when in this part of the world. Centrally located both the north and south coasts are reached within an hour and both offer a fine selection of beaches, quaint villages and stunning coastline. The farm is in the village of Lifton benefiting from the large local farm shop, Post Office/store, pubs and restaurants.
Dogs: we allow up to 3 dogs in Wooladon House and ask that they are not allowed on furniture or on beds. As this is a working farm they must be kept on a lead when walking through the estate. Additional charge of £20 per dog – this will be added to the final balance.
