Located on the edge of the complex, the newly converted Barn Cottage offers luxurious and secluded accommodation with it’s own private garden and hot tub. Relax in the bubbles as you gaze down the stunning valley of trees, ponds and countryside.
The cottage has a large open plan dining room and lounge with a door that takes you straight out on to the garden and allows you to admire the uninterrupted views as you enjoy your evening meal. Its kitchen has a bright breakfast bar and an abundance of preparation area. It leads out onto the patio and outdoor seating. Upstairs the bedrooms have been finished to the highest standard giving the master bedroom plentiful space, seating and you can unwind in the copper rolled top ensuite bath as you watch the clouds go by. The second bedroom is bright and airy with views of the valley from the comfort of your bed.
Wooladon Estate is nestled on the outskirts of the village of Lifton and our very own award-winning Strawberry Fields Farm Shop is just short walk away. Great for stocking up on homegrown produce and delicious treats from our bakery, deli and butchers.
We stayed at Wooladon for our son's wedding. It was everything we expected and more. The accommodation was spotless and the location for a wedding venue is fantastic. The staff could not have been more helpful. We truly have some wonderful memories to treasure.
This is the second time we have stayed at barn cottage and it was just as good as the last time. The cottage was just as beautiful and kept spotless. We all had a lovely stay despite the other cottages being booked it was still lovely and peaceful. My dogs loved to explore the estate and had a great time paddling in the river. We made good use of the farm shop and all the food we bought was amazing. Hopefully be visiting again in the future.
The Barn Cottage exceeded our expectations, it has obviously been converted to a very high standard, with beautiful luxurious fixtures and decor. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the garden very tidy and we were left some lovely treats from the farm shop. Parking was directly outside the door, the garden was fully enclosed for the dogs and we were able to get a grocery delivery from Sainsbury's who found us no issue. The kitchen was well equipped, but we also tried the local restaurants and can definitely recommend The Strawberry Fields restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and the Arundell Arms who do a fantastic steak! The weather was unfortunately not on our side, but we didn't let it stop us enjoying the hot tub every day, which was wonderful to relax in after our visits out and about. We enjoyed the walks on the estate, it was so wonderful to have that on our doorstep and our dogs loved it too. The children enjoyed the Highland cattle who were right by our cottage and are such beautiful creatures. We also visited Launceston Castle and Lydford Gorge which was spectacular. We would love to return when the weather is better, as there is so much to do in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay and for looking after us.
